Connect this speaker how you want. For a classic USB speaker system, connect it with the USB-A plug on the built-in 1 m (3 ft.) cable to your computer or notebook. Both sound and power are transmitted through the single USB connection. Or, if you prefer audio via the Aux port, connect the 3.5 mm stereo plug on the other built-in 1 m (3 ft.) cable (e.g., to an iPad or MP3 player). If you want wireless control from a distance, like with playing music from your smartphone, pair it via Bluetooth. The mode control button lets you switch easily. Just keep in mind that a USB-A connection for power is always required, but it certainly doesn't have to be your PC's USB port - any USB charger with 5.0 V / 2.0 A works just as well.
